How we give back

We established a scholarship program to encourage and assist young people in furthering their education through post-secondary studies in university or college.   This scholarship is just one way that we give back to the communities we serve. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who are members in good standing of the credit union.

If you are a Grade 12 student on Prince Edward Island and are planning on attending a recognized post-secondary institution, we are here for you. To apply please below for more information on how you qualify for one of our four scholarships.

Morell Credit Union exists because of and for our members. That’s why we’re committed to giving back to the communities we serve. We do this in a lot of different ways including sponsorships, donations and community funding.

Each One, Teach One is an approach to providing basic and plain language financial knowledge, in a community, by volunteer staff from your credit union. Our sole goal is to empower individuals to make the right financial decisions for themselves and their families.

Sessions provide basic and plain language financial knowledge, without ties to any products or services, with the sole goal of empowering individuals to make the right financial decisions for themselves and their families.

Morell Credit Union is proud to be able to offer the EOTO Financial Literacy Program as a complimentary education program to all community-based groups.

The program contains a series of 17 different topics with each module being 60 to 90 minutes in length. Below is an outline of the modules.

Morell Credit Union invests in various socially responsible initiatives in our communities, engaging in community projects that align with our values.  We actively collaborate with local organizations, nonprofits, and community groups. These partnerships enable Morell Credit Union to address broader community needs like education, healthcare, and social services. By working together with community organizations we can create comprehensive solutions that positively impact the lives of residents.
