Privacy Notice Statement: Security Video Surveillance System
Morell Credit Union is equipped with a Security Video Surveillance System (cameras) to capture images of various areas located on the perimeter of the building and within the branch.
Electronic security cameras are one of the most effective tools for deterring crime and ensuring the safety of employees, members, and assets. An image may be used for identification purposes and may be disclosed to a law enforcement agency if criminal activity is suspected.
The images captured through the system are collected and used in a manner consistent with privacy laws and regulations. Images of people are considered personal information, and as such, we have guidelines for using recorded images, including how long the images will be stored and who will have access to them.
The credit union has an official complaint process for individuals who believe the policy has been violated. You can find the process online Complaint Resolution Process. If you are not satisfied with the response to your privacy concern or if you want to file a complaint about the handling of your image being captured on camera, you may wish to contact our Privacy Officer at (902) 961-2735.
